Laura Brera – Massage Therapist

Laura moved from Italy in 2007. Alongside her career in dance she has always sought to widen her

understanding of the relationship between body and mind.  To this end, Laura holds an MA (Hons) in

Philosophy, a PGCert in Performance Innovations, qualifications in Anatomy and Physiology with

Distinction, as well as her Diploma in Therapeutic Massage from the London College of Massage.

Laura is also qualified in Deep Tissue, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stones and Pregnancy Massage.

She is also a Reiki Master and is presently pursuing her PhD in Dance at University of Bedfordshire

and a Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning at University of Surrey.

Outside the academic world, Laura is actively training in Aikido, a Japanese martial art, and is still

occasionally involved in performances presenting her solo work at International festivals in the UK

and abroad.

Her passion for the connection between the moving body and the embodied mind is the foundation

of her work as massage therapist. Laura specializes in helping very active people, dancers and

professional athletes deal with muscle injury, fatigue and tension, all the while delivering deeply

relaxing treatments, enabling her clients to overcome and cope with the stress of their everyday

lives.

Laura is a full member of the CThA (Complementary Therapist Association).
